Past emergencies

Federal disaster declarations that list Coffee County

Severe Storms, Straight-Line Winds, And Tornado (FEMA DR-4742, severe storm) was declared on September 27, 2023, and FEMA lists Coffee County among the designated areas. The record gives incident dates of August 7, 2023 to August 7, 2023. Storm damage often takes out power and roofs before it takes out equipment, and a commercial kitchen without power could cook from a mobile commercial kitchen trailer rental with its own range, griddle, and ovens. Add a dishwashing trailer rental for the dish room, and a refrigerated trailer rental if the walk-in fails. Facilities near Wartrace face the same weather.

Severe Winter Storms (FEMA DR-4594, severe ice storm) was declared on April 21, 2021, and FEMA lists Coffee County among the designated areas. The record gives incident dates of February 11, 2021 to February 19, 2021. Ice storms bring outages and frozen lines, and a commercial kitchen without power could keep cooking meals from a mobile commercial kitchen trailer rental, adding a generator if needed. A dishwashing trailer rental and a refrigerated trailer rental can sit alongside it.

Severe Storms, Flooding, Landslides, And Mudslides (FEMA DR-4427, flood) was declared on April 17, 2019, and FEMA lists Coffee County among the designated areas. The record gives incident dates of February 19, 2019 to March 30, 2019. Floodwater can take a commercial kitchen out of service in an hour, and a facility could cook meals onsite from a portable mobile commercial kitchen trailer rental placed on dry ground during cleanup. Add a dishwashing trailer rental for the dish room, and a refrigerated trailer rental if the walk-in fails.

Major construction

Infrastructure repair on record in Coffee County

FEMA's Public Assistance records list a roads and bridges project titled “APP. CERT. Completed Roads within Coffee County” in Coffee County, tied to the severe storm(s) disaster DR-4427. The record shows $119,043 and the status “project closed out”, with the last obligation in April 2020. Road work reroutes trucks and delays deliveries, so a facility could settle the delivery route and a level pad early and keep a mobile commercial kitchen trailer rental from waiting onsite. Planning around Estill Springs follows the same steps.
